Nabwana has been called Uganda's Tarrantino due to the high level of gratuitous violence in his films. The story of Ramon Film Productions, after Isaac's grandmothers Rachael and Monica, more commonly known as Wakaliwood, is one of an enduring passion for the cinema expressed in a heady fusion of martial arts action caper and gory violence reflecting some of brutal events of Uganda's past. ![]() In Wakaliga slum in the Ugandan capital Kampala, Isaac Nabwana (aka Nabwana IGG) has put the country on the cinematic map by producing dozens of ultra-low budget action movies that feature helicopter raids, martial arts sequences, zombies and lots of fake blood.
